Abstract

709,713. Reservoir pens. DECOLLETAGE PLASTIQUE SOC. AR.L. Oct. 2, 1950 [Oct. 3, 1949; June 22, 1950], No. 24034/50. Class 146(3) A writing point for a ball-point pen comprises a main body part 5, and a separate tip 1 formed with a socket 4 for the ball B and with a narrow bore 3 of uniform diameter which extends to the rear extremity of the tip and has ink supplied to it from a co-axial ink-supply passage 7 of large diameter provided entirely in the main body 5, the rear part of the tip being a push fit in a bore 6 in the part 5 at the front end of the passage 7. The end 2a of the part 2 may extend into the passage 7 to form an annular recess 9 to trap impurities in the ink. The tip 1 can be made in a lathe in one setting. The portion -8 of body 5 may be attached to, or integral with, the ink reservoir.
