[Class 146 (iii)] The feed-bar a of a fountain pen is surrounded by a sleeve b formed with a trough 16 which is closed by the nib 3 to form an overflow chamber 8 communicating with the atmosphere through an opening 7 near the rear end of the sleeve. The feed - bar, in the surface of which are formed air and ink supply passages 4, 5, has a projecting end 6 extending into. an opening in the end of the sleeve.
