Abstract
472,383. Fountain pens. GRAUAUG, A. April 1, 1937, No. 9264. Convention date, April 2, 1936. [Class 146 (iii)] In a fountain pen of the kind provided with a valve 4 adapted to divide the reservoir 3 into two compartments 3<1>, 3<11> and to close the duct 7 leading to the nib, the valve is operated by a member 8 passing through the nib-section. The part 8 is preferably of polygonal crosssection and moves in a similarlyshaped passage to prevent rotation. The projecting part 9 is formed with a screw-thread co-operating with the nib-covering cap 5 so that the valve is moved when the cap is applied or removed. The lower portion of the part 9 and the end of the passage in the nib-section are preferably coned.
