706,435. Shearing. HYDOPRESS, Inc. Aug. 27, 1951 [Aug. 30, 1950], No. 20150/51. Class 83 (4) Rotary cutters for shearing a sheet Pare mounted in housings 24, 25, 26, 27 independently adjustable laterally by electromotors 37 on slides 22, 23 of a closed framing 10 by screw spindles journalled in the frame. The cutters are rotated by en electromotor 49 driving shafts 42, 43 on which are slidingly keyed gears 55 meshing with an internal and external annular gear 57 rotating the cutter shaft 66. The gear 57 is mounted in bearings 60 in the housing 24 in which the shaft 66 is adjustably mounted in eccentric bearings 68, 69. To allow of the adjustment of the machine from three to two pairs of cutters the cutters 61 are separated radially by hand adjusted worms which rotate the bearings 68, 69 and the cutters are adjusted laterally by the electromotors 37.
