Abstract

706,375. Stapling fibres. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER. Feb. 19, 1952 [Feb. 21, 1951], No. 4395/52. Addition to 692,369. Class 120(3) Apparatus disclosed in the parent Specification is augmented by the provision of a revolving counter-knife. As shown, fibrous material 5 is conveyed in a pipe 1 to an . injector nozzle 2, through a cutting slit 3 where it is compressed against a stationary edge 4 by a revolving knife 6 with which a revolving counter-knife 7 cooperates, without touching or grinding thereagainst, to sever the material.
