Abstract

704,350. Optical apparatus. ROSS, Ltd. March 20, 1952 [March 21, 1951], No. 6779/51. Class 97(1) A graticule is adjustable transversely of the axis of a sighting telescope by being mounted in one end of a tubular member urged by laterally and longitudinally and resilient means so that its other end rests m a pivotal manner upon an abutment surface rigid with the telescope body, the graticule end of the tubular member being adjustable in position. As shown the member b is held by springs c against an abutment e bearing erecting lenses, and its free end a, in which the graticule is mounted, is pressed by the spring c against two perpendicular screws (one, k, being shown) by which its position is adjusted transversely of the axes of the telescope, the tube pivoting about the abutment e. At the pivotal end the tubular member may be engaged in a pin and slot arrangement.
