Abstract

612,577. Goggles. HUMBY, E. T. May 28, 1946, No. 16178. [Class 97 (i)] A goggle comprises rubber eyecups pivoted by pins 5, 6, to links 7, 8 forming a bridge and pivoted at 17 to permit of adjustment to suit the wearer, adjacent sides of the goggles being urged together by springs 9, 10 coiled respectively around the pins 5, 6, one end of each spring bearing respectively against lugs 11, 12 on the eyecups and the other end being attached at 13, 14 to a T-shaped slide 15. A nut 16 holds the links in adjusted position. In addition to urging the lugs 11, 12 towards one another the springs also tend to rotate the eyecups in the direction of the arrows a, b.
