Abstract

682,753. Goggles. LAUKVIK, H. April 26, 1951, No. 9774/51. Class 97 (i). In goggles comprising a pair of opaque eye-cup carrying lens seats, each eye-cup and its lens seat is held together with the lens between them by, at one side, a detachable hook connection, and at the opposite side the elastic band or the like serving to hold the goggles on the user's head is passed through a slot in the eye-cup and held to the lens seat so that on pulling the band the eye-cup is pressed against the lens seat. As shown, each annular lens support seat 1 has a hook 6 engaging the inner portion of the corresponding eye-cup 2 and has a slot 5, Fig. 3, in its outer portion through which is passed one end of the head-band 3. The band also passes through a slot 4 in the eye-cup and holds its unturned end in position against the eye-cup 2, thereby retaining the seat 1 in position and permitting ready adjustment of the length of the head-band.
