[Class 97 (i)] The mount comprises a support to which is pivoted a lever arm, having pivoted thereto another lever arm which carries the lens, and means are provided to effect movements about the two pivot axes and in the direction of the lens axis respectively. In the form shown, a support B carries a shaft C, which is slidable in the direction of the lens axis on ball bearings B<1> under the control of a micrometer screw. A lever arm D on the shaft is rotated about the axis thereof under the control of a micrometer screw D<1> which abuts against a member C<2> carried by the shaft so that its end rests on a roller track B<2>. Pivoted at D<3> on the arm D is another lever arm E provided with bearing surfaces E<4>, E<5> and a pair of straps E' which is clamped at E' to hold a container carrying the lens as described in Specification 614,267. The axis D<3> is parallel to the shaft axis and movement thereabout is effected by a micrometer screw E<1> abutting against a surface D<4> on the lever arm D. The mount, which may be used in a multiple head projection apparatus as described in Specification 614,473, thus allows of focusing adjustment of the lens by longitudinal movement of the shaft C and centring adjustment thereof by small rotary movements about the axes C, D<3>. The lens may be carried by a usual mount which is in screw connection with the lever arm E, while focusing adjustment thereof may be effected by longitudinal movement of the lever arm E relative to the arm D. The adjustments may be effected either by local hand control or by remote control and the support B may itself be movable in the direction of the lens axis.
