Abstract

699,580. Vibratory .mechanism. LINDKVIST, K. V. Oct. 12, 1950, No. 24910/50. Class 80 (iv). A tube vibrator 4 for insertion in and mixing plastic material such as concrete comprises a cylindrical casing 5 housing rotatable outof - balance masses 11 which are driven by a flexible shaft 6 from a motor 2 connected to the casing 5 by a Bexible portion 3. The masses 11 rotate in bearings 12 held in position by inserted sleeves 14, 13, 16, 17, spring washers 10 and an end plug 9. The sleeve 17 is formed as a bonnet to act as an oil container from which oil is forced upwards to the bearings by an impeller 19, on the spindle of the rotating masses. In an alternative construction a single out-of-balance cylindrical mass is provided which rotates in plain bearings in a sleeve member inserted in the casing and the oil container is formed as a separate bonnet member.
