Class 86 [Also in Group XXVI] In a rotary or oscillatory agitator or impeller arrahgement comprising a shaft having a lateral extension B, the shaft is sealed where it passes through the liquid chamber wall A by a torsionally resilient sleeve C that is closed at one end, fits loosely over the shaft and extension and is secured at its open end to the wall A. In a modification, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), the extension is circular and the part of the sleeve surrounding the extension has discs secured thereto to act as paddles.
