[Class 86] In a mixing machine in which the stirrer comprises ribbon - like strips supported by radial arms extending from a shaft, the inner ends of the arms 20 are received by holes or recesses 22 in the shaft 21 and are secured therein by welding at 23. The arms 20 may be round in cross section or may be square or rectangular, in which cases their sides are inclined to the axis of the shaft 21. Specifications 10606/89. 19415/12, [both in Class 86], and 551,590, [Group XXX], are referred to.
