[Also in Division B1] A submersible vibrator for concrete has a rigid rotatable pin 2 in a tubular easing 1 having a yieldable section 6 which permits the casing to be deflected so that the annular track 5 is brought into contact with the track 4 on the pin. The casing then performs a circular conical motion without rotating; the dimensions and rate of rotation of the pin and easing may be chosen to provide a vibration frequency higher than the rotation frequency of the pin. The pin is driven by a flexible shaft 7 and has an oil seal 8. Specification 489,250 is referred to.
