868,640. Concrete mixers. FEJMERT, B. V. Oct. 23, 1959, No. 35922/59. Class 86 A mixer for concrete and like materials has an annular mixing container 1 the inner wall 2 of which has a cover 8 supporting a rotatable casing 3 to which mixing shovels 6 are hingedly attached at 10. The casing is rotated by a motor 7 driving a gear train 11 enclosed in the casing 3 and terminating in a fixed gear. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 the shaft 12 of the fixed gear is keyed into the cover 8 and the motor 7 is supported on and rotates with the casing 3. In the embodiment of Fig. 2 the motor is dependent from the cover 8 into the central space. and the shaft 12 is keyed into a fixed member 14. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 702,373.
