697,368. Spanners and wrenches. WRAIGHT & CO., Ltd., F. L., and THOMSON, C. Oct. 11, 1951 [Oct. 14, 1950], No. 25104/50. Class 61 (iii). The handle of a spanner or wrench is fixed in any one of a number of angular positions between two ears 3 on the head by a polygonal pin 6 which is passed through aligned, polygonal holes of the same size in the ears and handle. End plates 7 of similar shape and size are rotatably mounted on the pin 6 by a centre pin 8. The plates are turned out of register with the holes in the ear pieces to prevent removal of the pin 6. Spring pressed balls mounted in the ends of the pin 6 engage recesses in the plates 7 to hold the plates in locking or release positions. One of the end plates may be replaced by a collar.
