Abstract

779,150. Spanners; wrenches; screwdrivers. MELDRUM, Ltd., T. Feb. 28, 1955 [March 1, 1954], No. 5953/54. Class 61 Relates to a spanner or wrench of the' kind comprising bars 10, 13 welded together in crosswise relation to provide two pairs of coaxial arms, one arm of one pair being used as a spanner or wrench as indicated at 11 and 15, and the other arm of the said pair having a rotatable sleeve 12 with respect to which the tool may be rotated. According to the invention the two bars are so welded together that they lie across one another in a common plane within the normal cross-sectional dimension of the other, and the bar 13 is made at one or both ends of spoon-like or other suitable form, as indicated at 14, to act as a tyre lever. As shown in Fig. 2, the other end of bar 13 may constitute a screwdriver.
