Abstract

697,323 Stoppers; collapsable tubes. MATTHIAS, E. June 13, 1950 (Nov. 4, 1949], No. 14795/50. Classes 66 and 125(iii) Stoppers for containers such as collapsable tubes for creams, &c. and containers for liquids comprises a screw closure cap having coaxial discharge ducts and a conical or spherical face which, in the closed position of the cap, coacts with a corresponding counterface on or associated with the container and the discharge ducts are closed by the flat-top of the container so that by partly unscrewing the cap a free passage from the interior of the container is obtained communicating with the discharge opening in the cap. As shown in Fig. 1 the cap 3 is provided with two arcuate discharge openings 5 and with a tapered plug-like portion 4 which coacts with the counterface b on the neck of the container. In the closed position of the cap the openings 5 are shut off by the end face of the neck 1 of the container 2. Fig. 4 shows a cap 11 in which two openings 13, 14 lead to a discharge opening 15 formed in the beak-like.upper part of the cap. An air vent 16 is provided and the cap is adapted for use with liquid containers.
