Abstract

In making mixed fertilizers according to the parent Specification by extracting phosphate rock containing fluorine with an acid, e.g. nitric acid, neutralizing and concentrating the resulting liquor to a melt and granulating the latter, the melt is submitted, prior to granulation, to a final neutralization at a pH of 3 to 4 when the melt contains calcium uncombined with phosphoric acid or fluorine and at a pH up to 7 if the melt contains no such uncombined calcium.
