Abstract

692,127. Snap-action switches. PARSONS, Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. July 21, 1951. No. 17342/51. Addition to 692,043. Class 38 (v) The switch of the parent Specification is modified for actuation by a cord or chain 37, successive pulls on the chain moving the contact carrier 19 to alternate positions. The pivoted lever 30 is provided with a cam-shot 31 in which engages a pin 35 on a link 34 connected to the chain by a pin 33 engaging in slots 32 in a metal bridge 24. When the chain 37 is pulled, the downward movement of the link 34 tilts the lever 30 about its axis 27, so moving the contact carrier 19 to its other position. When the chain is released, a spring 38 moves the link 34 upwardly, the pin 35 moving to the other end of the camslot 31 ready for the next switching operation.
