Abstract

655,389. Snap-action switches. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. July 18, 1947, No. 19296. Convention date, June 30, 1941. [Class 38(v)] A switch is actuated by a push button 41 which is connected to a tubular member 37 slidable in a bushing 29. Member 37 is normally retained in its highest position by a spring 60. The lower end of the member 37 carries a washer 54 which supports a spring-pressed pin 49 which engages the upper cam-shaped surface 72 of a pivoted member 21 when the button 41 is depressed, the pin sliding down the surface into engagement with a projection 74. The member 21 is thus rocked and carries with it the actuating member 19. The button 41 slides over an extension 33 of the bushing 29 which limits the downward movement of the button. Riding on the pivot pin 64 on opposite sides of the member 21 are two plates 61 of the shape shown in Fig. 3. These plates are pressed downwards by the spring 60 and serve as guides for the pin 49. The lower end 18 of member 19 engages a member 15 secured to a spring 14 which surrounds a part of the contactor
