539,889. Press-button switches; snap-action switches ; motor controllers. MORRIS, Ltd., H., and FREEMAN, W. Oct. 23, 1940, No. 15595. [Classes 38 (iii) and 38 (v)] A reversing switch of the pendent type suitable for controlling motors comprises a two piece casing, one piece 4 forming a handle carrying oppositely-disposed push buttons 8, 8a each controlling a snap action switch mounted on a block disposed in the other portion 5 of the casing. A common spring 20 returns the push buttons which act on levers 9, 9a controlling levers 14, 14a connected by dead-centre springs to contact arms 15, 15a. Depression of one button prevents depression of the other button sufficiently to operate its switch and a pin 21 also positively prevents simultaneous closure of the two switches.
