Abstract

738,401. Switches held set and freed mechanically. CONTACTUM, Ltd., and BOLLING- HAUS, W. Dec. 16, 1953 [Dec. 16, 1952], No. 31859/52. Class 38 (5). A switch is alternately operable " on " and off " by successive pulls on a chain 29 which is connected to a link 31 having hooks 40, 41 cooperable with pins 19, 20 on a pivoted dolly 7. The chain engages a U-member 30 to which the link 31 is pivoted by a pin 33 movable in grooves 34, 35 in a boss 26. Downward movement of the link 31 from the Fig. 2 position engages hook 40 with pin 19 and tilts the dolly clockwise about its pivot 8 to operate the contacts 4, 5 by a cam 9. When released, upward movement of the link by a spring 39 causes a sloping surface 43 of the link to engage the pin 19 so that the link is tilted anti-clockwise so as to be ready to engage the other pin 20. The cam and contacts may be arranged as in Specification 694,587.
