Abstract

978,491. Snap action switches. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. Dec. 10, 1962 [Jan. 4, 1962], No. 404/62. Heading H2B. An electric switch comprising a fixed contact 2 and movable contact 8 on an arm portion 9 is actuated to open the contacts by rotating a button 3 anticlockwise about a pin 4 so that a toe 7 depresses an arm portion 10, thus compressing a resilient arcuate portion 11 until the arm portion 10 pivots about a projection 12, where it engages a recess in the base 1 of the switch. The button 3 is pivoted in a clockwise direction to close the switch. Several switches may be juxtaposed to form a bank, Fig. 4 (not shown).
