688,423. Reciprocating pumps for lubricant. KIRKHAM, Ltd., J. & W. Nov. 1, 1951 [Nov. 2, 1950], No. 26713/50. Class 102 (i). A lubricating pump comprises a plurality of independent and separately detachable pump units supplied from a common oil container A', each unit having a plunger A<SP>2</SP> actuated by a cam or eccentric C through one arm b of a bell crank lever B pivoted on the pump casing A, the other arm b<SP>1</SP> thereof being engaged by a stroke regulating rod D screwed through a shaft d, common to all the pump units, which shaft is rotatable for disengaging the regulating rods to allow the plungers to operate at maximum stroke. A shaft d<SP>2</SP>, rotatable by an external hand lever, carries a plurality of cams d<SP>3</SP> having projections d' which engage the bell crank levers to operate the pump for flushing purposes. Individual flushing triggers A<SP>3</SP> are also provided. Oil passes through ports a and inlet valves a<SP>1</SP> into the cylinders of the respective units and is delivered through nozzles a<SP>2</SP> and sight glasses a<SP>3</SP> to outlet valves a'.
