687,826. Automatic firearms. VERWALTUNGSGES DER WERKZEUGMASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. July 31, 1951 [Aug. 23, 1950], No. 18136/51. Class 92(ii) Relates to automatic firearms of the kind in which cartridge chambers 12 on a revolving drum 3 are brought successively into line with the barrel 1. According to the invention seating of each cartridge chamber is effected by a bushing 14 the rear part of which is thinner than the front, whereby the rear part is tightly pressed against the wall of the chamber by the action of the gas pressure. The chamber shown is cylindrical; in a modification the chamber is conical.
