Abstract

687,754. Paper pulp disintegrators. WICKZELL, S. W. Jan. 29, 1951. [Jan. 28, 1950] No. 2177/51. Class 96. To the rotor shaft 16 of a paper pulp disintegrator are secured pump blades 6, a strainer plate 7 and agitator blades 3, the shaft 16 being in bearings 22 and having a driving pulley 18. The pump blades 6 force strained pulp to an outlet 10 whence it may be returned to the tank 2 for further treatment. The strainer plate 7 may have recesses around the upper ends of its openings, and may be cleared by a fixed scraper blade 13. The tank 2, &c. is supported on posts 19 and has deflector blades (not illustrated in Fig. 1) on its cylindrical wall.
