685,592. Stays for hinged articles. HACKER, A. W. June 29, 1951. [Jan. 30, 19S1], No. 2263/51. Class 65(i) A device for holding a door or the like in a single pre-determined open position comprises a stay bar 11 attached at one end to the door and disposed slidably in a pivoted box guide 5 attached to the fixed frame, the box guide having mounted thereon a spring- biassed lever 9 carrying a bolt which enters a single hole in the stay bar when the door is open. A spring 7, mounted on the stay bar, is then compressed between the box guide and an abutment 8 on the stay bar.
