927,383. Sliding bolts. B. K. HOUSTON. June 27, 1961 [July 21, 1960], No. 25401/60. Class 44. A door bolt comprises a plate 10 adapted for mounting on a door, a bolt 12 guided for longitudinal movement of the plate, a lever 23 fulcrumed in the plate and pivotally coupled to the bolt for displacing the latter between release and shot positions, and spring means urging the plate and bolt together comprising a roller 19 carried at one end of a blade spring 18 and urged into either of two recesses 20, 21 in the bolt to snap-engage the latter into these positions. As shown, the bolt 12 is guided for movement along the plate 10 by side walls 11 and a boss 14 which projects from the plate through a slot 13 in the bolt 12 and which carries the blade spring 18 and roller 19. The bolt 12 carries a bolt head 16 which projects through a plate 17. Specification 882,776 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 882,776.
