Abstract
685,393. Coke ovens. DIDIER-KOGAGHINSELMANN KOKSOFENBAU UND GASVERWERTUNG AKT.-GES. Oct. 2, 1950 [June 29, 1949], No. 24049/50. Class 51 (ii). In a horizontal regenerative coke oven having the regenerators arranged longitudinally below the oven chambers, each regenerator sole flue is divided into an air or lean gas flue 3 and a waste gases flue 4 by a partition wall 2 built up of hollow bricks so disposed as to form a row of vertical passages 5 opening into the regenerator chamber above them, alternate lower passages having side ports opening into the flue 3 and the flue 4 respectively. Valve bricks 8 resting on the sole flue bottom may be adjusted from outside the oven to control the side ports.
