Abstract
684,913. Seats. YARROW, W. N. Oct. 25, 1950 [July 25, 1949; Dec. 6, 1949]. Nos. 19465/49 and 4558/50, (the second Provisional Specification being divided out of the first Provisional Specification). Class 52(ii) In a foldable chair of the kind in which the seat is pivoted to the back and is capable of being swung upwardly to rest against the back and in which the front legs are pivoted to the seat and fold with the seat the back rest 1 and back legs 2a are formed or made an integral structure, the seat side members 3a are pivoted at the rear to such structure and at the front are pivoted to front legs 5 having upward extensions 5a which are pivoted to arm rests 6 which are also pivoted to the back rest. The arrangement enables the back rest and back legs to be secured to a wall, floor or like support and yet enable the seat &c. to be folded thereagainst. The front legs and arm rests may be formed of a continuous curved length.
