Abstract
682,294. Electric water-heaters. RADI, S. Jan. 1, 1951 [Dec. 30,1949; Dec. 11, 1950], No. 28/51. Class 39(iii) [Also in Group) XIII] An indirect heater for water under pressure comprises an inner chamber 29 containing liquid', in communication with the atmosphere through a pipe 39, and heated by an element 42, and an outer chamber 30 containing the same liquid under pressure, a one-way valve 36 being interposed between the chambers so that the liquid in the heating chamber may maintain a constant level. The valve 36 includes a float 37 resting on the liquid in the tank 29 and the heater is associated with a thermostat 45 and a fuse-element 44. Inlet and outlet pipes 31 and 33 are mounted in the base 23 of the outer tank which is surrounded by lagging 22.
