Abstract
679,454. Electric motors. INDUSTRIAKTIEBOLAGET LUXOR. May 16, 1951 [June 8, 1950], No. 11452/51. Class 35. The speed of a motor for use, e.g. for phonographs, is regulated by a governor mounted in a space between the rotor and rotor shaft. Two bell-cranks 6 and 7 are so mounted as to swing in radial planes. The upper arms of the cranks extend outwards and lie against a brake member 10 which is non- rotatably but axially displaceably mounted on the rotor shaft 1. The lower arms of the cranks extend from their fulcrums in an end wall 5 downwards through an annular space between the shaft 1 and a sleeve 2 carrying the rotor core 3. Weights 8, 9 are carried at the free ends of the lower arms which swing radially outwards into apertures 11, 12, when the rotor speed is increased. This causes the upper arms of the cranks to displace the brake member 10 upwards.
