[Class 57] A centrifugal governor, especially for a dynamo comprises a number of laminated sheetmetal members comprising radial arms 13 rigidly secured to the armature shaft 10 and provided with arcuate leg extensions 14 which, should the dynamo exceed a predetermined speed, deflect outwardly to engage a breaking surface 8 formed on the cylindrical housing 7.
