Classes 110(1) and 110(3) A pump assembly comprises a pump impeller and a driving means connected by a shaft, the shaft carrying means made of magnetizable material and rotatable in an annular magnetic field to generate a signal, speed regulating means for the driving means being controlled in response to variations in the signal. The subjectmatter is identical with that described in Specification 750,311, but the claims differ.
