816,558. Axial-flow pumps and fans. KONINKLIJKE MACHINEFABRIEK GEB. STORK & CO. N.V. Sept. 3, 1957 [Sept. 27, 1956], No. 27808/57. Class 110 (1). In an axial-flow pump or fan, the impeller hub of which has a generally conical surface increasing in diameter in the direction of flow, each impeller blade is in two parts located one behind the other in the direction of flow and each adjustable. Each blade comprises two parts 6, 7, the stems 8, 12 of which are connected by levers and connecting rods to a disc 15 carried by a shaft 16, axial movement of which adjusts the pitch of the parts 6, 7. The impeller hub is generally conical in the region of the parts 6 and cylindrical in the region of the parts 7, and the cylindrical part of the hub may be rotatable circumferentially relative to the generally conical part to bring the parts 6, 7 back into alignment after adjustment.
