860,024. Axial-flow fans. KONINKLIJKE MACHINEFABRIEK GEB. STORK & CO. N.V. July 16, 1957 [Aug. 31, 1956], No. 22458/57. Class 110 (1). In an axial-flow fan having a substantially conical impeller hub 1 increasing in diameter in the direction of flow, adjustable impeller blades 7 located behind fixed impeller blades 6 and adjustable guide vanes 12 at the fan inlet, regulation is effected at low and high values of mass flow or discharge pressure by adjustment of the guide vanes 12 only and at medium values by adjustment of the impeller blades 7 only. The blades 7 may be adjusted by means of an axially slidable rod 16 which rotates with the impeller and carries a disc 15 connected to levers 17 on the blade stems.
