836,498. Axial flow fans. KONINKLIJKE MACHINENFABRIEK GEB. STORK & CO. N.V. May 7, 1958 [May 10, 1957], No. 14611/58. Class 110 (1). Each of the hollow impeller blades 3 has one or more openings 15 on its leading face for discharging a pressure fluid from the interior of the blade. The fluid is air which is drawn from the diffuser 10 through a valve 11 into the cone 7 and enters the blades through holes 14 in the hollow impeller hub, the pressure of this air being further increased by guide blades 16 within the hub. The inlet guide vanes 9 are adjustable.
