614,783. A.C. Generators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., HIGGS, V. A., and GRIFFITHS, L. July 29, 1946, 22552. [Class 35] An A.C. generator is mounted inside the crank-case of an internal-combustion engine, the rotor being carried by the flywheel and the stator by the crank-shaft bearing hub. As shown, the annular multi-polar magnet 11 surrounding the stator core 7 is secured in non- magnetic material 10 secured to or integral with the fly-wheel 3 of a motor-cycle engine and there may be a second similarly mounted generator in the other half of the crank-case. U.S.A. Specification 1,946,513 is referred to.
