[Also in Groups XXII and XXVIII] A ceramic plug 11 having a metal coating 16 is inserted into and secured to the metal sheath 12 of an electric cable by a ring 4 of compressed metallic powder that is melted and squeezed between screwed sleeves 13, 14 (see Group XXII). The plug may have apertures for conductors 15, and the cable insulation may be magnesia.
