Abstract

1292459 Wire TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON 21 Nov 1969 [9 Dec 1968 27 May 1969] 57220/69 Heading H1A [Also in Division C7] Wire of aluminium, or aluminium alloy is covered, by the fluoborate method, with a 0À1 to 10 micron layer of nickel containing 0-75% zinc. Such wire may be clamp connected or soldered, or used to form twisted multiwire conductors or for submarine cable armouring. The wire may be covered when it is the desired final size, or the covered conductor may be drawn down to size, of less than 5 mm. The wire may be insulated with paper, plastics, or oil.
