Abstract
676,677. Rod joints. PORTER, Inc., H. K. Nov. 27, 1950 [Dec. 22, 1949], No. 29018/50. Class 99 (i). [Also in Group XXV] A spigot-and-socket. joint comprises a transverse locking pin 38 passing through the socket 16 and spigot 26, and a resilient spilt ring 34 which engages grooves 32, 30, and 44 in the socket, spigot, and pin respectively, the groove 32 being of a size to allow expansion of the ring when the pin is knocked out and the spigot withdrawn.
