624,381. Rod &c. couplings. HART, J., and QUADRANT TUBE CO., Ltd. Nov. 29, 1946, No. 35471. [Class 99(i)] A coupling for rod-like members such as tubular handrails 2 comprises two partcircular members 1, the abutting edges of which are connected or hinged together by interengaging L-shaped projections 3 and which are clamped on the handrails, e.g. by bolts 9 passing through lugs 8 or by hinged rings or locking catches. The members 1 may have extensions 5 to receive a cross-tube 6 secured by a screw 7. The corners of the projections 3 may be rounded.
