629,729. Adjustable legs. HEINSEN, C. R., HEINSEN, A. H., HEINSEN, F. E., and HEINSEN, H., (trading as BAYFIELD & SONS, Ltd., J.). Oct. 24, 1947, No. 28511. [Class 52 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Tubes 1, 4 forming an adjustable table leg are coupled together by means of a spring 7 preferably D-shaped arranged on the outer tube and engaging in transverse slots 5, 6 in the tubes. Relative rotation of the tubes, to release the coupling is facilitated by handgrip 11, which causes the spring to expand and disengage from the slot of tube 1. A spring-covering ring 10 is provided on tube 4. Either of the tubes may be fixed or provided with a handgrip.
