[Also in Group XXI and XXXI] In a mining or tunnelling machine, the disintegrated mineral is carried back from the cutters in the trough of a scraper conveyer H, the trough comprising two pivotally joined sections, the rear section being capable of rotation about the pivots 101 by hydraulic jacks 102 pivotally mounted on the chassis of the machine.
