Abstract
669,021. Gas turbine plant. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 22, 1950. [Aug. 31, 1949] No. 20756/50. Class 110(iii). [Also in Groups XII and XXXVI] A gas turbine plant is provided with a thermopile 17 the hot. junctions of which are exposed to the interior of the combustion chamber 6. Current from the thermopile passes to an amplifier 19 from which current is led to an electromagnetically operated valve 13 in the fuel supply pipe. If the flame in the chamber 6 becomes extinguished the valve 13 closes and cuts off the supply of fuel. The valve is reopened manually. Specifications 671,853, [Group XXIX], and 13858/48 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91) are referred to.
