Abstract
658,855. Variable pitch propellers. ROLLSROYCE, Ltd. Feb. 2, 1949, No. 2926. [Class 114] The pitch-varying motor 15 during normal operation is supplied with operating fluid obtained from the engine lubricating circuit 21 through the pipe 45, pump 35 and governor controller valve 33. For feathering the electrically driven pump 47 is operated, this obtaining its fluid from the engine lubricating reservoir 18 through the pipe line 49. To avoid overcharging the lubricating circuit during feathering the return from the feathering pump is led through the non-return valve 61 direct to the reservoir 18.
