[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Groups V and VI] An endless-chain conveyer for use in an extraction - apparatus (see Group V) is formed from a series of perforated discs 18 to allow passage of the extracting - liquid, each disc being clamped between two clevises 20, 21 secured together by screwing. Adjacent clevises for successive plates are coupled together by links 22 pivoted to the clevises, the coupling being arranged, if desired, to provide universal movement. The conveyer is driven by means of a wheel having a peripheral groove into which the discs enter and are engaged by pins extending across the groove.
