Abstract
698,169. Endless conveyers. COWLISHAW WALKER & CO., Ltd., and SEED, E. C. July 7, 1952. No. 17072/52. Class 78 (i). A framework tor an endless conveyer is builtup of a series of units placed end to-end-and detachably connected, each unit consisting of superposed sections 11, 12. The framework is assembled by laying the end 40 of each section 12 on the butt-strap 35 of the adjacent section 12 so that pins 44 on one section pass through holes 50 in the flanges 22 of the adjacent section. The sections 11 are then superposed on the sections 12 with their ends 25 resting on the butt-straps 24 of the adjacent section 11 and their opposite ends being supported by brackets 32 resting on the flanges 22 of the sections 12. Holes 34 in these brackets receive the pins 44. The overlapping section 11 are bolted together by bolts 60 passing through aligned holes 30, 134 and the sections 1 are bolted to the sections 12 by bolts in which pass through the limbs 33 of the brackets 32 and through holes 45 in the flanges 22 and screwed into nuts 46 secured to the underside of the flanges 22. Wearing strips 51, 52 are secured to the sections 11, 12 respectively, for supporting the conveyer chains 55.
