Abstract

852,023. Endless belt conveyer framework. MECHOMA (ENGINEERING) Ltd. July 22, 1957 [April 20, 1956], No. 12244/56. Class 78 (1). The framework of an endless belt conveyer is formed by two series of tubular longitudinal members extending on opposite sides of the belt and which are connected together end-to-end by plugs engageable in the adjacent ends of the tubular members. As shown, the framework consists of a driving stand 5 including a pair of tubular legs, a pair of short tubular longitudinal members 7, and driving apparatus B, a tensioning stand including a pair of tubular legs, a pair of short tubular longitudinal members 6, and tensioning apparatus T, and one or more tubular longitudinal members 10. The various longitudinal members are connected together by plugs 12 having a central flange 13 and spigoted ends engageable in the ends of adjacent longitudinal members. One or more intermediate stands 1 each composed of a pair of tubular legs and a pair of short tubular longitudinal members 3 may also be provided. The belt is supported over its working run on plates 11 secured between the members 10.
