Abstract

783,200. Endless conveyers. MEINING- HAUS, W. Feb. 21, 1955 [Feb. 20, 1954], No. 5074/55. Class 78 (1). An endless conveyer band comprising overlapping troughed plates 2 propelled by endless chains 6, is provided with guiding rollers 3, 4 which engage the upper and lower flanges of a girder 1 supported by a frame 5, Fig. 2, shows a modification wherein the girder is built up of T-bars 7, 8 secured by angle irons to the frame 5. In a further modification (Fig. 3, not shown), the girder consists of two channel bars placed back-to-back. Each of these channel bars may be divided into two channel bars as shown in Fig. 4. Fig. 5 shows a method of securing the supporting frame to an I-section girder, the girder being divided into two parts 16, 17 and a slot 18 of a length and width corresponding to the cross-section of the frame 15 being formed at the end of each part to provide an aperture to receive the frame. The parts of the girder are secured together through a U-shaped fish-plate 19 welded to the frame.
